This guided Hong Kong tour will take you three museums and exhibits showcasing the varied Chinese folk cultures in the modern city of Shenzhen.
See vivid replicas of world-famous attractions spread across the extensive 480,000 square-metre park, Windows of the World, one of the most famous tourist destinations in Shenzhen.
Tickle your taste buds as you choose between a Dim Sum lunch at the famous Shangri-la Hotel and traditional Indian cuisine at a famous Indian restaurant in Shenzhen.
At Shenzhen, you will visit three museums and exhibition centers, certain to entertain and deliver a fascinating insight into Chinese history and culture. You will visit the following Shenzhen attractions:
Shenzhen Museum of History & Folk Center: Opened in 2008, the museum holds significant pieces of Chinese history including jade burial suits, bronzes from the Shu Kingdom and the Shang Dynasty. Learn about the development of Shenzhen and see more than 20,000 pieces of cultural relics housed in the museum.
The Exhibition of Shenzhen Folk Culture: Explore the folk culture of ancient Shenzhen residents, mainly the Cantonese and Hakka community.
Modern Shenzhen Exhibition: Learn about most significant events from Shenzhen’s rich historical past, spanning from Kowloon sea-base battle in 1839 to the establishment of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in 1949.
After your visit to the exhibits, you will get free time to visit the Window of the World theme park where you will see replicas of the some of the world’s most famous attractions. See reproductions of the Eiffel Tower, the Angkor Wat of Cambodia, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Roman Colosseum, the Pyramids, the Sydney Opera House and many more.
During the course of the tour, choose either a Dim Sum lunch at the world famous Shagri-la Hotel, or, an Indian lunch at a traditional Indian restaurant in Shenzhen.
At the end of the tour, you will take a train back to Hong Kong.
