Itinerary

Take a journey back into the 18th century when you attend a Concert at Great Orangery Charlottenburg Palace. You will need to make your own way to the Great Orangery Charlottenburg Palace at Spandauer Damm 10-22, 14059 Berlin. On arrival you should exchange your booking vouchers for your concert tickets in the Entrance hall of the Great Orangery. The performance begins at 2030h (8:30pm) so make sure you arrive in good time!

Charlottenburg Palace is the largest palace in Berlin.The magnificent building is surrounded by glorious gardens showcasing various architectural styles.The building was in its heyday in the 18th century under the Prussian King Frederick the Great who was an enthusiastic patron of the arts.

With the aim of preserving and maintaining the musical tradition of the former Prussian Court, a concert series by the Berlin Residence Orchestra was established at the Great Orangery in 2006. Audiences are swept away on a musical journey back into the 18th century and the concerts have become extremely popular.

The concerts take place in the Great Orangery Charlottenburg Palace, a baroque architectural jewel. The Berlin Residence Orchestra offers four concert ticket categories, namely:

VIP tickets (front row)

Category A: Front section

Category B: Middle section

Category C: Rear section

VIP guests will enjoy a glass of Champagne during the interval .

To help recreate the atmosphere of King Frederick’s court, the musicians will be dressed in 18th century costumes. You will be treated to compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frideric Handel, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Vivaldi. Works by Frederick the Great himself and his court composer complete the musical experience.

The concert lasts approximately 2 hours and at the end you will need to make your own way back to your accommodation.
