Some of the sites to be covered are as follows:

Checkpoint Charlie: One of the most distinct symbols of Cold War, Checkpoint Charlie was one of the three checkpoints built by the US forces between East and West Berlin, through which diplomatic and allied forces could enter West Berlin. It is now an outdoor exhibit detailing the Cold War.

Brandenburger Tor: The Brandenburg Gate has witnessed several significant moments of history, right from political speeches, a dictator coming to power to the reunification of a nation.

Reichstag: The seat of German parliament, it is a testament that the final chapters of Berlin’s 20th century history had yet to be written. The building was constructed between 1884 and 1894 with wartime reparation money from France

Tempelhof Park: Originally a parade ground, then an airport which when closed in 2008, was turned into a park for the public. The 386-hectare open space has a 6 km cycling track, skating and jogging trail and an enormous picnic area. Bike the original runways, see the old terminal building built by the Nazis, and see how Berliner's are transforming the incredible space.

Tiergarten: The largest park in the city is a revered spot for the locals. Important sights like the Berlin Zoo, Victory Column, Bellevue Palace and Haus der Kulturen der Welt are housed in and around the park.

Kurfurstendamm: The 3.5 km boulevard stretches from Breitscheidplatz in Charlottenburg, where the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is located, to the Rathenauplatz in Grunewald, where the villa district of the western part of Berlin begins. It is a bustling boulevard and is known for shopping than its architecture which dates back to 1500s.

Museum Island: This is home to five of Berlin's most famous museums, notably the Pergamon Museum and the Egyptian Museum (now housed in the Neues Museum). The other museum housed here are the Altes Museum, Alte Nationalgalerie and the Bode Museum.

Bebelplatz: It is one of the most beautiful squares in Berlin. It is the site known for the infamous Nazi book burning ceremonies held in 1933. A memorial consisting of a glass plate embedded in the cobbled street had been constructed in 1995.

Berlin Wall: The iconic wall that separated East and West Berlin has become synonymous to Germany. Although a major part of the wall was demolished in 1989, the last remains of the last remaining sections are now under historical protection.

Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe: This recently-finished memorial is powerful to all who visit. Its 2711 blocks of various heights sit on undulating ground to give those walking through it a sense of solace and solitude.

Site of Hitler's Bunker: Stand over the area of Hitler's bunker as the guide recount in detail the demise of Hitler and the final days of World War II. As one of the final stops on the tour, your guide will tell you how the Cold War grew from the ashes of World War II.
