This private tour takes you to Normandy – the site of some of the most important battles of World War II.
Visit the remains of the artificial harbour, which the Allies built in England and towed to France and explore the German coastal battery artillery battery at Longues sur Mer. Visit the Petrol Harbour where one of the pipelines of the Allies came out. At Omaha beach explore the remains of the German bunkers and at Pointe du Hoc see the place which was home to the biggest feat of arms of the Americans on D-Day.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Paris at 0730h (07:30am), you will travel in a private car accompanied by a driver/ guide.
Heading northwest from Paris, there will be stop en route to Arromanches. Here you will visit the remains of the artificial harbour, which the Allied Forces built in England and towed to France. Watch a documentary, "the Price of Freedom", in a 360° movie theatre, which captures the feelings of the Allied soldiers in first hours of D-Day.
See the German coastal battery artillery battery at Longues sur Mer, which played a vital role in the D-Day landings. See the canons and bunkers of Longues, the only coastal batteries that are still in the same spot where they were when the fired on the Allies on D-Day.
Your last visit of the morning is Port en Bessin. This is the Petrol Harbour where one of the pipelines of the Allied Forces came out.
Your first stop of the afternoon will be the American cemetery of Saint Laurent at Colleville. You will then drive to Omaha beach to see the remains of the German bunkers. Get a very realistic vision of the difficulties that the American soldiers faced when they landed there.
Saving the best for last we will visit Pointe du Hoc. This is the biggest feat of arms of the Americans on D-Day, where Colonel James Rudder and his Rangers accomplished a memorable feat of arms on the cliffs on June the 6th 1944. This is, visually without doubt, the most impressive spot of the Landing Beaches.
At the end of the tour, you will be returned to your hotel in Paris. You will arrive at your hotel in Paris at around 1930h (7:30pm).
