Itinerary

There are five options for your exciting Navua River Village Safari. The river safari part of the tour is the same for all options but there are differences in the arrangements for transfers from resorts. The five options are:

Navua River Village Safari from Nadi
Navua River Village Safari from Coral Coast (Shangri-La, Fijian Resort)
Navua River Village Safari from Coral Coast (Intercontinental)
Navua River Village Safari from Coral Coast (Warwick/Naviti)
Navua River Village Safari from Pacific Harbour

At the start of the tour you will be picked up from your resort hotel and taken to the start of the river trip. You will board a motor boat and set off up the lovely Navua River.

As you look around you will see scenes of untouched beauty including lush forests, cascading waterfalls and deep gorges. Experience the thrills of fast-flowing shallow rapids along the way.

On arriving at a village you will be welcomed by the villagers with a traditional ‘Kava’ ceremony. Kava is an age-old herbal drink that was the beverage of choice for the royal families of the South Pacific. The Kava welcome ceremony is one of the most important Fijian traditions.

You will also enjoy a delightful Fijian lunch with lovely local fruits. Afterwards you can swim and splash in the cool mountain water and visit some craft shops before heading back to base.

At the end of the boat ride you will be picked up by a vehicle and driven back to your resort.
