Overview

A cosmopolitan and vibrant city, Darwin which is located in the Northern territory of Australia. The city has a mélange of heritage and modern buildings and infrastructure, beautiful gardens and wildlife attractions.

What's the plan:

Depart from your Darwin hotel in a coach which will take you to 69 Mitchell Street from where you will begin your tour. You will be accompanied by an expert guide who will fill in with details about the places visited.

Your first stop will be George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens, where you will see an array of plants from the northern Australian region. Established in 1886, the garden was constructed to study the economic importance of regional flora. The garden in its long history has survived severe cyclones, wildfires and the World War II. During your visit to the gardens, you will also visit the Chinese Temple, which was re-built after it was completely demolished by Cyclone Tracy in 1974.

During the course of the tour, you will also visit the East Point Military Precinct, one of the most popular recreation areas in Darwin, the Stokes Hill Wharf area which is a popular waterfront venue and the Mooring Basin, a shelter for fishing fleets.

Your last stop will be the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, which is a storehouse of aboriginal art, visual arts, history and natural sciences. Learn about Darwin’s natural and maritime history and indigenous Australian and Southeast Asian traditions. There is also an impressive display of Cyclone Tracy which hit the Darwin in 1974 and destroyed many of the city’s heritage buildings.

After the tour, you will be dropped off to your hotel.
