Itinerary

The Lake Front Segway Tour – Chicago is a lot of fun and an enjoyable way to see the city. Please make your own way to the start point at Millennium Park, 239 E. Randolph Street.

You will meet your guide and be issued with your Segway and safety helmet. The Segway is a two-wheeled self-balancing personal transportation device that can operate in any pedestrian environment. You will have time to practise using the machine before the start of the tour.

You will glide through beautiful Grant Park, catching spectacular views of the Chicago city skyline on the way. Often referred to as Chicago's ‘front yard’, Grant Park is among the city's loveliest open spaces. It was saved for the public by far-sighted citizens in the early 1900s who campaigned to maintain the area as a green oasis and prevent commercial development along the lake-front.

Grant Park is home to three world-class museums – the Art Institute, the Field Museum of Natural History, and the Shedd Aquarium – all linked by an attractive swathe of greensward known as the Museum Campus. Soldier Field Stadium – home of the Chicago Bears Football Team – is also part of the Campus.

You will pause to admire the magnificent Buckingham Fountain, one of the world’s largest fountains, with a jet that shoots 150 feet into the air.

You will also see the fabulous Millennium Park. Completed in 2004, this masterpiece of architecture and landscape design is the world’s largest roof garden. Its finest features include an ultra- sophisticated outdoor concert venue, the interactive Crown Fountain, and Anish Kapoor's hugely popular Cloud Gate sculpture also see Adler Planetarium.

Your Segway ride lasts around 2-3 hours and ends back at the starting point.
