Activity Overview

Spend three sun-soaked days in the heart of Australia’s Red Centre exploring the iconic Ayers Rock (Uluru), Kata Tjuta (Olgas) and the rock formations of Kings Canyon.

Watch the sun set over the undulating folds of Ayers Rock and then head back to see the sun rise. Travel to Kings Canyon and marvel at this huge formation of weathered rocks and marvellous waterholes. Explore the impressive rock formations of the ‘Amphitheatre’, ‘The Lost City’, the picturesque ‘Garden of Eden’ and the breathtaking North and South Walls.

The tour price includes 2 night accommodation in a tented safari camp, meals, sightseeing and services of a local expert guide.

Itinerary

Day 1: Ayers Rock / Uluru

You will be picked up from your Ayers Rock Accommodation/ Airport and taken for this tour in an air conditioned mini coach.
Heading straight to our Yulara permanent campsite for lunch, the afternoon is then spent exploring Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), before travelling to Uluru (Ayers Rock) to take in a spectacular sunset. Later we return to camp for a traditional Aussie meal. After dinner, relax around the camp, under starry desert skies. Stay at Ayers Rock Resort Permanent Campsite.

Day 2: Kata Tjuta - Kings Creek Station

Early rise for an exciting morning with breathtaking views of sunrise at Uluru (Ayers Rock), a World Heritage listed area. Join your knowledgeable guide for a base tour of Uluru, exploring ancient caves where Aboriginal paintings can be seen. A fascinating time learning about the oldest culture in the world. For those who really must tackle the 1.6km climb, you will also have the chance. Then head off on a eight km hike through the spectacular Valley of the Winds.
This afternoon, travel through red sand dune and desert oak country to Kings Creek Cattle Station where optional activities are abundant. Tonight, try a traditional camp oven dinner, cooked in the coals of the fire.
Stay the night at Kings Creek Permanent Campsite.

Day 3: Kings Creek - Alice Springs

This morning we visit breathtaking Kings Canyon. There's no rush, as we hike around the canyon rim viewing sites like the Lost City and the Garden of Eden, as well as the striking North and South Walls. There are plenty of opportunities for photos. Be sure to bring your swimsuit as there's bound to be time for a swim in one of the tranquil rockpools.
We return to Kings Creek Station for lunch before travelling through sand dune country as we head back to Alice Springs, arriving approx. 06:30pm.
