Itinerary

To join your exciting Morning Whale Watching Tour from Gold Coast, you should make your way to Sightseeing Cruise Terminal - River end of Cavill Avenue, Surfers Paradise.

Boarding begins at 9:00am for Morning and 2:00pm for afternoon. After a brief (and often entertaining) safety induction, you will set off on your ocean adventure.

The vessel Mahi Mahi, is modern, large and spacious and specifically designed for whale watching. Three large viewing decks offer unobstructed viewing of whales, dolphins and other marine life. The ship is the only Gold Coast Whale Watching vessel with a unique water level viewing platform providing guests with the closest humpback whale encounters possible.

Every year between May and October, more than 12,000 humpback whales migrate to these warm sub-tropical waters to mate and give birth. They are thrilling animals to watch because they often leap right out of the water, a type of behavior known as ‘breaching’.

The calm winter waters off the Gold Coast are also home to bottlenose dolphins, giant loggerhead turtles, killer whales and various sea birds. An on-board marine scientist will provide fascinating commentary on everything you see.

You will be back at the Wharf, where the cruise ends.
