The experience ends at the Sea World theme park
Discover the deepest secrets of the oceans and meet some of the most magnificent marine animals on the planet at this entrancing venue. Where else on the Gold Coast could you learn the truth about sharks, enjoy close-encounters with incredible rays, see polar bears swimming under water, meet friendly seals and dolphins and say “Hi” to the smallest and cutest penguins on the planet?
And that is just the start. There are also lots of fun activities with a marine theme – like the Jet Rescue Coaster ride, when you save a sea lion from a dangerous cave. Or join all your favourite Sesame Street characters on Sesame Street Beach for a riot of splashy fun.
Much more than just a theme park, Sea World is also committed to highlighting the vulnerability and beauty of the undersea world and playing an active role in Australian marine research and rescue.
If you are taking a Gold Coast vacation, don’t miss the chance to enjoy this enthralling experience.
Your Gold Coast – Sea World Theme Park Pass is your ticket to a magical marine world. Make your way to Sea World Drive Main Beach, Surfers Paradise, and present your booking voucher at the entrance gate. You will then be issued with a pass that is valid for the whole day.
The park opens at 1000h (10:00am) daily. Be sure to get there early so that you have time to enjoy all the attractions.
There’s something for all the family at Sea World. Discover the wonders of the deep oceans and experience amazing rides, shows and attractions. Find out more about the marine environment, and the active role Sea World plays in Australian marine research and rescue.
Some thrilling experiences on offer include:
Polar Bear Shores: Admire these magnificent white bears – the largest land carnivores in the world – in a state-of-the-art environment simulating the Arctic tundra in summer. Find out fascinating and surprising facts about polar bears and watch them swim and play though large underwater viewing windows.
Shark Bay: Three zones allowing for excellent viewing and interaction, including a touch pool, a snorkel and dive lagoon and a shark lagoon (the largest in the world) house some of the most feared sharks on the planet. Shark Bay helps you understand these majestic creatures and corrects some of the common misunderstandings surrounding them.
Imagine: Marvel at the grace and agility of the dolphins as they interact with their trainers at Dolphin Cove. This enchanting presentation featuring the world’s most popular marine mammals is set to a beautiful musical score.
'Shark Attack' – Bull Sharks in our Backyard’: The only display in the world which focuses on bull sharks. It explains the life history and behavior of these fish and dispels myths surrounding bull shark attacks.
Penguin Point: Meet the world’s smallest penguins – the delightful fairy penguins. Just 16 inches (40 cm) tall, these cute birds are a lovely slate-blue on the back with white chests and tummies.
Ray Reef: Feed, touch and watch more than 100 rays perform their stately underwater ‘ballet’ in their colorful Ray Reef home. Learn all about the part played by rays in the ocean ecosystem.
Sea World also offers a selection of rides to make your day even more fun. Just some examples are given below:
Jet Rescue Coaster: Save a sea lion from peril when you join the Sea World Rescue team on an exciting mission. Clamber aboard your Jetski and whizz around the track at a thrilling 70km/hr to the dangerous cave where the sea lion needs help. Free the trapped animal and return as heroes.
Sesame Street Beach: Australia's very first Sesame Street attraction is now open at Sea World on the Gold Coast. Sesame Street Beach includes rides such as Bert and Ernie's Big Dive, Oscar's Sweep the Beach, Elmo's Sea Subs, Big Bird Bounce, Zoe's Sub Splash and The Cookie Monster Cup Carousel.
As well as first-class marine exhibits and thrilling rides Sea World also brings you some enthralling shows. Just some examples include:
'Ocean Rescue': An inspirational 20-minute feature presentation that follows the Research and Rescue team’s efforts to save entrapped and injured marine animals. From a dolphin with a severe shark bite wound to a humpback whale entangled in netting – come behind the scenes and see how this amazing team solves problems and triumphs over adversity.
At Sea World there is also the chance to take to the air in a range of different Scenic Helicopter Rides or participate in a unique interaction with the Park's animals in Sea World Animal Adventures. The cost of these activities is not included in your ticket.
Food and drinks (payable direct) are available within the park.
Your pass enables you to stay in the theme park until closing time.
