Activity Overview

Experience a fabulous day on the Outer Barrier Reef on a spacious pontoon. During this journey the reef naturalist will teach you about the natural wonders of the reef. Take a guided snorkel expedition or simply explore the reef by yourself, under the watchful eyes of trained lifeguards. The snorkelling area is fully enclosed for your safety. Small children can enjoy the safety of the enclosed watching area. If you prefer a reef experience without getting wet, there are also semi-submersible and glass bottom boat tours, marine touch tank and an underwater theatre to view the fish feeding.

Spend a memorable day here and be amazed by the unsurpassed beauty and splendour of Australia's vast underwater playground.

Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the Reef Fleet Terminal in Cairns. From here you will board a luxury air-conditioned catamaran and head for a full day sightseeing excursion to the Outer Barrier Reef.

Arrive at the Outer Barrier Reef. Take a guided coral viewing tour in a semi-submersible craft and glass bottom boat.

If you prefer, get wet and snorkel, with stunning corals a few strokes from the pontoon.

Enjoy a tropical hot and cold buffet lunch (including seafood) and afternoon tea.

See the on-board touch tank to experience unique marine life up close and speak to the on board naturalist about the incredible reef Eco-system.

Return to the Reef Fleet Terminal in Cairns.

At the end of the tour, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Cairns.
