This tour will take you to South Australia’s premium wine region, Barossa where you will sample some of the finest wines including the world famous Jacob’s Creek Winery and Langmeil winery.
The Barossa is home to over 80 Cellar doors and 160 wineries, and is also renowned for its food and cultural experience.
Indulge in wine tasting at Jacob’s Creek as you sip some of the best wines produced in the world. Also, visit their cellar door and admire the long rows of their vineyards. It is a must for wine lovers looking for an unforgettable experience!
It feels like you are going back in time, when you head towards Hahndorf, Adelaide’s oldest German settlement. Experience the charm of quaint, historic hills villages, enjoy a German style lunch and sample the local handmade produce as well as the arts and crafts of this fascinating region.
Depart from Adelaide towards theBarossa wine region. Notice the change in landscape as you pass from the city to the wine region. Your first stop will be the world famous Jacob’s Creek Winery.
Jacob’s Creek is one of the most popular Australian wine brands, exported to over 60 countries. You will visit the multi-award winning Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre where you will have the opportunity to sample their famous wines in a structured tasting, take a tour of the surrounding vines and cellar door and enjoy morning tea as you overlook the vineyards.
After Jacob’s Creek, you will head to Langmeil winery. It is being regarded as one of the top premium wine producers in Australia.
Next, you will wind your way towards the picturesque Adelaide Hills to reach Adelaide’s oldest German settlement, Hahndorf. See over 100 year old elm and plane trees standing tall along the Main Street. You will still find the traditional Fachwerk buildings dating back to the German settlements, of which many have been restored to original conditions. The streets of Hahndorf are lined with eateries, galleries, art and craft outlets and souvenir shops.
Before you take a leisurely stroll to explore the many shops and galleries, you will take pleasure in a scrumptious German style lunch.
