Itinerary
Tour the city of Granada in an open-top sightseeing bus or a minibus. With two routes and 1 ticket on this Hop-On-Hop-Off tour, you can explore all the monuments and attractions at your own leisure. There will be 16 stops covering all of Granada’s main attractions such as Alhambra palace, Monasterio de la Cartuja and Palacio de la Madraza among others, this tour provides the perfect introduction to city. The tour has two start points: For open-top bus - Palacio de Congresos and for minibus - Alhambra palace. Your ticket is valid for 24 hours from when you first board one of the buses. Buses run from 0930h to 2300h (09:30 am to 11:00 pm) around every 20 minutes. Your ticket allows you unlimited use, meaning you can hop-on and hop-off as many times as you like at any of the designated spots! There is multilingual commentary on this tour. The stop points include:

• Parque de las Ciencias : It is an open-air museum and has over 270 interactive activities spread out in two exhibition buildings and other areas such as Planetarium, Tropical Butterfly House, the Observation Tower and the Astronomy Garden.
• Museo Federico G’Lorca
• Arabial
• Campus Universitario
• Hospital Real : The hospital building is famous for being the first lunatic asylums in Europe. Work for this hospital began in 1504 and was completed in 1522. This Renaissance building has pretty, arcaded inner courtyard and wooden Moorish-style ceilings. Today, it is the university headquarters with the main library and administrative departments.
• Monasterio de la Cartuja : Built between the 16th and 18th centuries, this lavish monastery church is a popular attraction in Granada. Look-out for the sanctuary behind the main altar, an array of coloured marbles, golden capitals and sculptures.
• Plaza de Toros : Bullfights are held from March to November at the Plaza de Toros. You can more details on the upcoming events at the bullring’s ticket office.
• Cathedral : It is a gothic Renaissance cathedral whose construction started in the 16th century and remained unfinished till the 18th century. You will come across of busts of Adam and Eve by Cano and 17th century carvings of the Catholic Monarchs at prayer. You have the option of changing the bus from here and taking another route.

• Alhambra : The Alhambra palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is set in a stunning location overlooking the city of Granada, and nestling at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Arguably the finest example of Arab architecture in the whole of Spain, the palace and its gardens were built as a re-creation of ‘heaven on earth’, with cool patios, fountains and intricate carvings still as clear as when it was first built. You have the option of changing the bus from here and taking another route.
• Plaza Nueva : It is called ‘New Plaza’ since it did not exist until the Christians rebuilt the lower city in the 16th century.
• Palacio de los Cordoba : The palace is also known as the ‘House of the Great Captain’. It was built in the Placeta of Descalzas, towards 1530. The building was owned by D. Luis Fernandez of Cordova, Greater Lieutenant of Granada.
• Albaicin : El Albaicin is an ancient Moorish medina with a network of hidden plazas, alleyways, horseshoe-shaped gates and mosques rebuilt as churches.
• Carmen de los Martires : It is surrounded by beautiful gardens of different style built in the 19th century.
On your hop-on-hop-off tour, you can get off the bus to visit the following sites: El Generalife, Casa del Chapiz, Iglesia del Salvador, Casa de Castril, El Banuelo, Monast. Santa Isabel la Real, Basilica de San Juan de Dios, Iglesia de San Jeronimo, Catedral Y Capilla Real, Corral del Carbon, Hammam. Banos Arabes, Ermita de San Sebastian, Iglesia de Santo Domingo, Nuestra Sra. De las Angustias, Museo Garcia Lorca, Alcaiceria, Realejo, Sacromonte, Parque de las Ciencias, Museo de Bellas Artes, Casa Museo Manuel de Falla, Fundacion Rodriguez Acosta, Museo San Juan de Dios, Centro Cult. Manuel de Falla, Iglesia Fray Leopoldo, Palacio Dar-Al Horra, Carmen-Museo Max Moreau, Casa Molino Angel Ganivet, Casa de los Tiros, Alcazar del Genil and Ayuntamiento.
